Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in North Carolina. At the age of twenty-two he was converted, and in 1816 entered the South Carolina Conference, in which for seventeen years he travelled and preached with zeal and usefulness, when failing health obliged him to desist from active service.
