a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in Boston, Mass., Aug. 10, 1797, and lived there and in New York city until he was twenty-three, when he went to the West. He experienced religion in 1825, and in. 1828 was admitted into the Illinois Conference, wherein he labored diligently until his decease, Feb. 5, 1843.
