Bernard, Samuel

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a Parisian painter and engraver, was born in 1615, and studied under Simon Vouet. His merit procured him a professorship in the Royal Academy of Painting at Paris. He died in 1687.
