Bernard the Saxon
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
a German theologian of the Benedictine order, lived in the 11th century. The writings which he directed against the emperor Henry IV, in the contentions of this prince with the pope, are extremely violent.
