Bestead
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
an old English word, signifying to place in certain circumstances good or ill, and used once in the Auth. Vers. ("hardly bestead," Isaiah 8:21) for the Heb קָשָׁה , kashah', to oppress.
