(Heb. Beyth hash-Shimshi', הִשִּׁמְשִׁיבֵּית; Sept. ἐκΒαιθσαμύς, ὁΒαιθσαμυσίτης ), an inhabitant (1 Samuel 6:14; 1 Samuel 6:18) of the BETH- SHEMESH (See BETH-SHEMESH) (q.v.) in Judaea.
