Black-Sunday
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
is the Sunday before Palm-Sunday, i.e. Passion-Sunday, so called because in England black, dark blue, or dark violet were the ecclesiastical colors used in the services for the day.
