Blair, John Durburrow

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a Presbyterian minister, was born at Fagg's Manor, Pa., Oct. 15, 1759. He was licensed to preach by the Hanover Presbytery in 1785. Soon after this he accepted a call from the Presbyterian Church at Pale Green, Va. He retained his connection with this Church until within a few years of his death, which occurred in January, 1823. Mr. Blair published a few sermons during his life, and after his death a volume of his Sermons were published under the direction of Rev. J. B. Hodge. See Sprague, Annals of the Amer.
