Blake, Samuel Vinton

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a Methodist Episcopal; minister, was born in Easton, Md., Jan. 15, 1814. He was converted in youth; received license to exhort in 1833, to preach in 1834; and in 1835 entered the Baltimore Conference, in which he labored diligently until his death, May 9, 1871.
