Bolton, Samuel
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
an English Puritan divine, was born in 1606, and educated at Cambridge. He became master of Christ College, Cambridge, in 1645, and vice- chancellor of the university in 1651. He died in October, 1654. He was the author of, True Bounds of Christian Freedom (1643): — A Guard of the Tree of Life (1647): — The Arraignment of Error (1646): — and other works.
