Boltraffo, Giovanni Antonio

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

an Italian painter, was born at Milan in 1467, and studied under Leonardo da Vinci. He died in 1516. His works are rare, though a few still exist in Milan. Lanzi commends one in the Misericordia at Bologna, representing the Virgin between John the Baptist and St. Bastiano, with the figure of Girolamo da.Cesio kneeling at the foot of the throne. See.
