a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church South, a Cherokee Indian, was born about 1793. Prior to his conversion he was a leader among his people, a man of unsullied patriotism. He was converted about 1833, and about two years later received license to preach. He died Aug. 8, 1853. As a, preacher he had but few equals.
