Boots, Abraham

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a German theologian and historian, was born at Bremen, Sept. 27, 1628. He studied at Marburg, and there taught metaphysics in 1662, history and eloquence in 1664. He died Oct. 11, 1673. His principal works are, De Immateria-litate et Spiritualitate Angelorum (Marburg, 1658): De Veritate (ibid. 1661): De Variis Thematibus ex omni Scibili (ibid. 1670). See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog.
