Brod, Abraham ben-Saul

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a Jewish rabbi of Bohmisch-Brod, was for some time rabbi at Nicolsburg and Prague. In 1679 he went to Metz, and afterwards to Frankfort, where he died, April 11, 1717. He wrote Novellas on several talmudic treatises; also פרושים, or Expositions on the Pentateuch, printed in the אסיפת חכמים of Israel ben-Isaac (Offenbach, 1722).
