a Congregational minister, was born in Townsend, Massachusetts, March 24, 1831. He was educated at Groton Academy, Yale College, and Yale Divinity School. He taught two years in Mississippi; was ordained over the Church in Byfield, Massachusetts, in 1858; labored there five years; Wilmington, six months; Unionville, Connecticut, in 1864, but was taken away by death, June 11, 1866.
