Butler, Stephen

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

an English Wesleyan minister, was born at Peasmarsh, Sussex, June 29, 1781. In 1802 he received his first appointment, Lynn, and subsequently labored on the Thetford, Norwich, Grimsby, Winterton, Lincoln, and Ipswich circuits. He died at Peasmarsh, March 30, 1818.
