Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a Presbyterian minister, was born in Wilkesbarre, Pa.,' Sept. 27, 1803. He was educated at the Academy of Wilkesbarre, and at Nassau Hall (College of New Jersey). He graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1826, was licensed the same year, and settled in 1828 at Port Gibson, Miss., where his earnest, laborious, and useful life was spent.
