Cabezalero, Juan Martin de

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a reputable Spanish historical painter, was born near Cordova in 1633, and studied under Don Juan Carreno. His best works are the Assumption, and a picture of St. Ildefonso, in the Church of San Nicola. There is also an Ecce Homo and a Crucifixion by him in the Church of the Franciscans. He died in '673.
