Cahoone, William, Jr.

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a Presbyterian minister, was born in New York in 1796. He graduated at Dickinson College, Pa., in 1823, and spent over two years in Princeton Seminary. He was ordained by the second Presbytery of New York, May 1, 1828; was missionary of the Reformed Dutch Church at Berne, N. Y., in the same year, and afterwards served as stated supply at Stuyvesant; at Hyde Park, 1829 to 1833; at Coxsackie, 1834 to 1847; at Fordham, 1847 and 1848. He died in 1857. See Gen.
