a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born on the Isle of Man, Oct. 16, 1812. He emigrated to America at the age of sixteen; experienced conversion three years later; and, after laboring some time as a local preacher, he, in 1844, entered the Genesee Conference, in which he labored as health permitted to the close of his life, in 1853.
