Canonarcha
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
was (1) an ecclesiastical officer of the Church of Constantinople, below the order of anagnostes, or, reader. (2) The title of an officer in some monasteries, who called the brethren together.
