Cappa Pluvilis
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
is a cope to be worn out of doors in processions, funerals, etc., usually of a coarser material than that worn in choir (cappa choralis), and intended to protect the wearer from the weather.
