a Scotch clergyman (son of the minister at Markinich), took his degree at the University of St. Andrews in 1660; was licensed to preach in 1664, and admitted minister at Pettinain the same year. He was deposed for adopting views antagonistic to episcopacy, in 1667, and joined the Presbyterians; was cited before the privy council in 1672; went to London, and founded in London Wall one of the earliest congregations of Scottish Presbyterians in that city.
