Carr, George
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
a clergyman of the Episcopal Church in Scotland, was born at Newcastle, England, Feb. 16, 1704, and educated at St. John's College, Cambridge. In 1737 he was appointed senior clergyman of the episcopal chapel at Edinburgh, where he spent the remainder of his life. He died Aug. 18, 1776. Three volumes of his Sermons were published in 1777.
