Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

(Κίλαν, Vulg. Ciaso), a person named (1 Esdras 5:15) as the family head (in connection with Azetas) of sixty-seven Israelites who returned from Babylon; but the Hebrews texts (Ezra 2:16; Nehemiah 7:21) do not contain either name.
