Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
(Χαβρείς v. r. Ἀβρίς, Vulg. omits), the son of Gothoniel (ὁ τοῦ Γ .), one of the three "rulors" (ἄρχοντες ) or "ancients" (πρεσβύτεροι ) of Bethulia (q.v.) in the time of Judith (Judith 6:15; Judith 8:10; Judith 10:6).
