Collegium Dendrophorium
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
(the College of the Dendrophori, from δένδρον, a tree, and φέρω, to carry), were a class of heathen (probably priests) whose duty it was to carry branches of trees in processions in honor of the gods.
