(רֹקִח, ro'kach, Exodus 30:35), CONFECTIONARY (רִקָּחָה, rakkachah', 1 Samuel 8:13), both derived from the root רָקִת (rakach'), to spice, denote respectively perfume and a female perfumer, as the passages cited and the kindred terms derived from the same root (and translated "apothecary," "perfume," "ointment") indicate.
