an English Congregational minister, was born at Atherstone, Warwickshire, March 25, 1799. He early became a Christian, entered Blackburn Academy in 1821, and was ordained in 1825 to the pastorate at Uttoxeter, where he labored forty years, and where, after a few years' retirement from the sacred office, he died, February 11, 1871.
