Coping (2)
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
(טֶפִח, to'phach, a hand-breadth; Sept. τὰγεῖδα ), occurs in 1 Kings 7:9, as an architectural term for the corbils (mutuli) or projecting stones in a wall on which the ends of the timbers are laid. (See CORBEL).
