a Congregational minister, was born in Hampden, Maine, October 8, 1799. He graduated from Yale College in 1823, and completed his theological course at Andover in 1826; became pastor at Conway in 1827, and of Winthrop Church, Charlestown, in 1833; in 1842 entered upon the editorial duties at the Mission House in Boston, and died February 28, 1843.
