Cucumellum
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
a flagon or bowl belonging to the altar in early Christian churches, which was used probably for containing the communion wine. See Bingham, Antiq. book 8, chapter 6, sect. 21. (See AMA).
