Diterich, Johann Samuel

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born December 15, 1721, at Berlin; studied at Frankfort and Halle, and was in 1748 appointed third preacher at St. Mary's. In 1751 he became second preacher, and on the death of his father succeeded him as primarius. In 1770 he was appointed member of the superior consistory, and died Jan. 14,1797, leaving, Cogitationes Philosophicae de Precibus Continuis (Frankfort, 1742): Kurzer Entwurf der christl.
