(Hebrews Elkoshi', אֶלְקשִׁי, the regular patrial form; Sept. Ε᾿λκεσαῖος, Vulg. Elcesaeus), an epithet (Nahum 1:1) of the prophet Nahum (q.v.), apparently as an inhabitant of ELKOSH (See ELKOSH) (q.v.).
