Engelcken, Hermann Christoph

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born at Jennervitz, in Mecklenburg, June 9, 1679. He studied at different universities, was in 1709 pastor of St. John's at Rostock, in 1710 doctor of divinity, and in 1716 professor of theology there.
