Epinicion
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
a triumphal hymn used in the communion service of the early Church. It consisted of the words, "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of Hosts!" It has sometimes been confounded with the Trisagion (q.v.).
