Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a zealous promoter of the English reformation, was born in Kent, educated at Oxford and died about 1531. He published, The Supplicacyon for the Beggars, a satire upon bishops, abbots, priors, monks, friars, and the popish clergy ion general (1526): The Sum of the Scriptures, from the Dutch (1530).
