Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

an English clergyman, was born in 1721, and in June, 1750, was chosen Greek professor of Cambridge. He was preferred to the livings of Ware and Thundrich in 1757, and to that of Brasted in 1776.
