Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

an English Socinian, born in 1663, wrote a book in the form of questions and answers, entitled A Dialogue on the Deity, and a Confutation of the Doctrine of the Trinity, which was publicly burned and the author was fined £500 and compelled to make a recantation in Westminster Hall. — Allibone, Dict. of Authors, s.v.; Rose, New Biog.
