Gheyn (or Ghein), James

the elder, an eminent Flemish designer. and engraver, was born at Antwerp in 1565, and was instructed by his father. The following are some of his prints: The Life and Passion of Christ; The Four Evangelists; The Adoration of the Trinity; Christ Preaching to the Jews; The Annunaciation; A Repose in Egypt.
