(Heb. Chadlay', הִדנְלִי, resting; Sept. Ἀδδί v.r. Ε᾿λδα ‹, Vulg. Adali), the father of Amasa, which latter was one of the Ephraimites who opposed the enslavement of the captives of Judah in the civil war between Pekah and Ahaz (2 Chronicles 28:12). B.C. ante 738.
