(Heb. Hashem', הָשֵׁם, perh. i.q. חָשֵׁם, fat; Sept. Ἀσάμ,Vulg. Aasem), a native of Gizoh, and ancestor of two of David's heroes (1 Chronicles 11:34; the JASHEN (See JASHEN) (q.v.) of 2 Samuel 23:32). B.C. ante 1014.
