(Heb. Hathak', הֲתָךְ, perhaps from Persic, verity; Sept. Ἀρχαθἃ῝ ιος,Vulg. Athach), one of the eunuchs in the palace of Xerxes, appointed to wait on Esther, whom she employed in her communications with Mordecai (Esther 4:5-6; Esther 4:9-10). B.C. 474.
