Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
(Heb. Chattil', חִטַיל , waving; Sept. Ἀττίλ, Ε᾿ττἠλ ), one of the descendants of "Solomon's servants" i.e. perhaps Gibeonitish Temple slaves), whose posterity returned from Babylon with Zerubbabel (Ezra 2:57; Nehemiah 7:59.) B.C. ante 536.
