Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

(Heb. Chenadad', חֵנָדָד , probably for הָדָד חֵן favor of Hadad; Sept. ᾿Ηναδάδ ), a Levite whose sons were active in the enterprises of the restoration after the captivity (Ezra 3:9); two of the latter, Bavai and Binnui, are named (Nehemiah 3:18; Nehemiah 3:24; Nehemiah 10:9). B.C. ante 535.
