a minister of the Church of England, was Hervey's tutor, and a very faithful member of the Oxford Methodist Society. He became a fellow of Lincoln College, December 8, 1720; subrector, November 6, 1739; bursar and librarian, November 6, 1742; rector, July 9, 1755; and died August 10, 1781. His only publication is a Latin sermon, Elucidatio Sexti Capitis Evangelii Secundum Johannem (1847, 8vo, page 51).
