Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

(Ι᾿αδών ) is the name attributed by Josephus (Ant. 8, 8, 5) to the man of God from Judah who withstood Jeroboam at the altar at Bethel-probably intending IDDO the seer. By Jerome (Qu. Hebr. on 2 Chronicles 9:29) the name is given as Jaddo.
