Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

(Heb. Yalon', יָלוֹן , lodger; Sept. Ι᾿αλών v.r. Ι᾿αμών ), the last-named of the four sons of Ezra, of the tribe of Judah, and apparently of a family kindred with that of Caleb (1 Chronicles 4:17). B.C. prob. cir. 1618.
