(Ι᾿αμνία v. r. Ι᾿αμνεία ), a Grecized or later form of the name of the city JABNEEL (See JABNEEL) (q.v.), used in the Apocrypha (1 Maccabees 4:15; 1 Maccabees 5:58; 1 Maccabees 10:69; 1 Maccabees 15:40), and Josephus (Ant. 5, 1, 22; 14:4, 4; War, 1, 7, 7).
