Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

(Heb. Yaziz', יָזַיז ., prominent; Sept. Ι᾿ωεζίζ v.r. Ι᾿αζίζ), a Hagarite overseer of David's flocks (1 Chronicles 27:31), which were probably pastured on the east of Jordan, in the nomad country where the forefathers of Jaziz had for ages roamed (comp. 5, 19-22) B.C. 1014. (See HAGARITE).
